PCYC is proud to release the 2025 Impact Report, demonstrating the measurable, real-world outcomes of its life-changing youth programs, sports and recreation activities, driver education, and outside of school hours care services across 64 clubs in metro and regional communities.
PCYC NSW CEO Ben Hobby said, “In 2025, we positively impacted more young people and communities than ever before in our 89-year history. Our benevolent youth programs are at the core of our mission and in this past year we engaged more than 13,000 young people in our Employability, Culture and Community, and Wellbeing and Leadership programs.”
“83 per cent of participants in our Fit for Work program who were previously disengaged were successfully connected into work or education. When young people are given the right opportunities and mentors, the impact is felt not only by the young people themselves, but also their families and the wider community.”
When asked about PCYC, program participants often say their involvement has given them a sense of belonging and empowered them to reach their full potential.
17-year-old Jordan said Fit for Work has helped him map his life out, given him confidence, and a White Card qualification that he otherwise wouldn’t have accessed.
While 66.6 per cent of Stepping Up participants secured a job, traineeship or pursued further education.18-year-old Majok from PCYC Liverpool got his start in the construction industry, “The opportunities I got have changed the trajectory of my life. Staff have kept me on the right path, helping me grow and get the experience to get to that next level.”
PCYC NSW serves more than 91,000 members from Tweed Heads to Albury, clocking up a total of 1,027,658 club visits in 2025.
PCYC will always serve the local community and stand as a beacon of hope. Among the year’s highlights were PCYC clubs transforming into NSW Government evacuation centres during severe weather events, the acquisition of Dubbo Sports World, PCYC Broken Hill celebrating 80 years of service, and the introduction of wheelchair basketball to make sport more inclusive for all community members.
Key program statistics from the 2025 report include:
• 1,032 participants celebrating sport and culture at the 11th annual Nations of Origin program
• 42,192 attendances at fitness and mentorship program Fit for Life, up 10% from 2024
