PCYC Traffic Offenders Intervention Program steering driving in the right direction
Amber Griffin
At 25 years old, Farrah sees driving very differently than she once did after completing PCYC’s Traffic Offenders Intervention Program.
“There was no judgement at all, the patience and acknowledgement of the PCYC facilitators made me feel really comfortable. The guest speakers and videos have made me realise the terrifying consequences of dangerous driving and the real people that are impacted by it.” Said Farrah.
“The program should be mandatory for all drivers; it has opened my eyes to how easy it is to get into a car accident if you’re not paying attention.”
PCYC is proud to be the largest provider of driver education in NSW. So far in 2026, 1,477 people have completed the Traffic Offenders Intervention Program, and 8,918 people completed a Safer Drivers Course at a PCYC club.
Farrah wasn’t a stranger to driving offences and loss of license when she joined the program at PCYC, she’s since changed the way she behaves behind the wheel.
“I used to drive like a hoon, now I always hold two hands on the steering wheel, I stay a three second distance behind the car in front of me, and my phone is in the bag under my seat, so I don’t touch it.” Said Farrah.
“The program has also changed my perception about Police, instead of feeling like they’re targeting me because I’m a P plater, I now know that they’re doing their job to make sure everyone is safe and prevent deaths on our roads.”
