The PCYC StarJump Challenge peer-to-peer fundraiser is back for Youth Week 2022!

PCYC NSW is asking you to be a star for youth mental health! Taking place every day of Youth Week 2022 (April 3 - 10) the PCYC StarJump Challenge is a charity fundraiser to raise much needed funds for our youth mental resilience program, GRIT (Growth-mindset Resilience Intervention for Teenagers).

In 2021, PCYC launched a fundraising initiative to raise money for our new mental resilience program, GRIT (Growth-mindset Resilience Intervention for Teenagers). Thanks to everyone's fundraising efforts, we raised enough money to roll out our pilot program to young people in several locations across NSW.

It’s a great start, but we know there are more young people who need the mental resilience guidance that this program can provide. After successfully piloting the program in a number of towns across NSW, we now want to spread the vital program further, and develop an app to accompany the course, which all young people can access. The GRIT program is all about prevention and health. It focuses on building the physical well-being, emotional and social intelligence of young people.

 

That's where you can help!

We're asking you to challenge yourself to Star Jump every day between 3 - 10 April 2022 to fundraise for young people, and help us give them the tools they need to face their future with strength and positivity.

 

How it works:

1. SIGN UP

Register for the PCYC StarJump Challenge charity fundraiser here. You'll get all the information you need, as well as tips on fundraising, training and planning.

2. FUNDRAISE

Get your community involved. Ask your friends, family, neighbours, schools, sports clubs and workmates for support. You can ask them to Star Jump in a team with you, or fundraise individually. Because PCYC is a life changing charity, established in 1937, all donations are tax deductible.

3. JUMP LIKE A STAR!

Start Jumping! You decide what you wear, what music you play, where you jump, and who you jump with. Share pics and videos using the hashtag #pcycstarjumpchallenge and strive to fundraise as much as you can for the chance to win some amazing prizes.

The money you raise will help PCYC’s mental wellness program reach more young people; and directly help them build resilience, grit, and an optimistic approach to daily life.
