Creativity is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality.

All children (and most adults!) can benefit from being creative. Creativity opens up the possibility of seeing the world in new ways, of finding hidden patterns, and of generating unexpected solutions.

That’s why PCYC NSW is encouraging parents to sign up for the NSW Government’s Creative Kids voucher to give everyone the chance to release their inner creator.

Parents, guardians and carers can apply for the voucher, which has a value of up to $100 per calendar year for each student aged 4.5 to 18 years old enrolled in a NSW school.

The voucher can be used with a registered activity provider, such as your local PCYC NSW club, for registration, participation and tuition costs for creative arts, speech, drama, dance, digital design, coding, and music lessons and activities.

The good news is you can redeem the voucher any time during the calendar year it was issued. So, you have plenty of time this year to consider where you can use the $100.

PCYC NSW holiday programs usually include craft and creative days. Check your local club’s ‘school holiday’ tab to see the range of creative programs that are available.

At PCYC Penrith, young people can choose from activities such as plant pot painting, origami, finger printing and learn to draw.

At PCYC Hawkesbury the club will be running flowerpot decorating, play dough making and Olympic art sessions.

Each club is different so make sure you check your local club for a creative holiday activity near you.

Apply for your Creative Kids voucher online.

You will need:

  • a MyServiceNSW account
  • one proof of identity document
  • your child's Medicare card details

Please note: Vouchers cannot be split between more than one provider or registration and they cannot be redeemed for cash.
