WELCOME TO YOUR LOCAL CLUB PCYC YOUNG

PCYC Young is a crucial part of our community, with us being the only sport and recreation facility in the area since 1937.

Our club offers a variety of activities run by our qualified instructors. We cater for all ages — from preschool-aged children through to seniors — with classes mindfully structured for all levels and ages. Our space is modern and inviting.

We have multiple activities available for all ages. These include gymnastics, art classes, archery, pickleball, basketball & netball.

PCYC Young is a space created by young people, for young people. It’s all about empowering you to build confidence, develop new skills, and have your voice heard. Through programs, opportunities, and real support, PCYC Young helps you connect with your community, discover what you’re capable of, and shape a positive future—your way.

We also offer driver education courses, including the Safer Driver’s Course (SDC) for learner drivers to boost their hours by 20 hours every month.

To see what other great activities we offer, check out our activities timetable or get in contact with us for more information from our friendly team.

Pickleball is a fast-growing paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, making it accessible and enjoyable for players of all ages and skill levels.
What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is played on a court similar in size to a badminton court. Players use solid paddles to hit a perforated plastic ball over a net. The game can be played in singles or doubles formats, and it features unique rules, such as the two-bounce rule, which requires both teams to let the ball bounce once before returning it.

Community and Health Benefits
Pickleball fosters a sense of community and camaraderie among players, often leading to lasting friendships. The sport is not only physically engaging but also offers mental health benefits, such as stress relief and improved cognitive function through social interaction.

Conclusion
With its blend of fun, strategy, and social interaction, pickleball continues to attract new players and grow in popularity worldwide. Whether played casually or competitively, it offers a unique and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
