Taree gymnasts off to Denmark

PCYC Taree gymnasts are set to tread the boards on the world stage once again.

Thirteen local PCYC Gymnastics coaches have been selected as part of the PCYC NSW Performance Gymnastics Team.

The team is one of few international teams who have been invited as VIPs to the Landsstaevne (National Danish Festival) in July 2017.

To help raise funds for its youth programs, PCYC Newcastle held a twice-in-a-lifetime unique dining experience on Friday and Saturday nights.

Set up in the grounds of PCYC Newcastle, “Beneath the Big Top” was a pop-up dinner giving people a night of food, circus entertainment and music by the amazing Hot Potato Band.

With the help of the Underground Epicurean group, guests enjoyed a four-course meal by Sprout dining and were amazed at the aerial show by Newcastle’s Circus Avalon and conga-lined with the Hot Potato Band.

Funds will be used to refurbish the club’s covered outdoor learning centre and buy a trailer for the very successful “Get a Grip” mountain bike program for youth at risk of offending or young offenders.
