Strength For Running

Strength for Running is a group exercise session that emphasises strength to help agility, power and injury prevention for running sports – everything from football (any code!) to ultramarathons. Training sessions work on core strength, muscle balance and lower body power with exercises and plyometric drills that use bodyweight or light resistance equipment. The session moves quickly from one drill or exercise to the next for a great combination of muscle and fitness conditioning. This training is suitable for all levels and ages – several of the exercises & drills have variations that can make them easier or more challenging.

Teen Fitness (14+ years old). This will cover both strength and cardio, from beginners to advanced. PCYC wants to ensure our youth have the correct technique and attitude towards training before being able to train themselves throughout our gyms. Class specifically designed for teenagers, to improve their fitness, strength and conditioning in the most effective way while minimising injury risk. Specific weight training class for youths to build strength. We train foundational barbell lifts as well as other movements using body weight, barbells and other equipment.

Hapkiyusul is a Korean martial art incorporating breathing, stretching and conditioning exercises. Striking, throwing and joint manipulation techniques are practiced in a safe, friendly, non-competitive environment. The training is rigorous and repetitive and gradually builds strength, health and confidence without requiring any particular athleticism. Training is open all over the age of 16. Instructor Peter Watt was been teaching classes at North Sydney Police Community Youth club since 1996.
