Covid-19 Update: Gyms at Tweed Heads, Grafton and Coffs Harbour to re-open Saturday 11 September

We are excited to announce that PCYC clubs in three regional locations will reopen on Saturday, 11 September following the easing of COVID restrictions in the Tweed Heads, Grafton and Coffs Harbour area. Lockdown will be lifted at 12:01AM Saturday, so we will be reopening our doors from tomorrow! 🥳 There will be slightly reduced hours, full timetable to follow next week 😃

NSW Government announced new restrictions over the weekend for all of regional NSW, effective from 5pm on Saturday 14 August until 12.01am Sunday 22 August 2021. This now affects all 65 PCYC clubs across the State, which will remain closed until the restrictions in those LGAs have been lifted. Due to new COVID-19 outbreaks in regional NSW, restrictions have been announced for Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Port Stephens, Singleton, Dungog, Muswellbrook and Cessnock from 5pm today until 12.01am Friday, 13 August. The 9 PCYC clubs in these locations with therefore close for the next seven days, or until the restrictions are lifted.

  The NSW Government has announced that the Greater Sydney lockdown will be extended to Friday, July 16. This means the current lockdown in Greater Sydney including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour, will be extended until 11.59pm July 16. In all other parts of NSW current restrictions will continue. PCYC clubs in Greater Sydney will remain closed during this time including all activities and programs.

Young people to represent their Aboriginal Nations in the PCYC 2021 Nations of Origin tournament

From June 29 to July 2, more than 1300 young people from across NSW will be representing their Aboriginal Nation at the annual four-day PCYC Nations of Origin tournament held in Port Stephens and Lake Macquarie. The popular sporting event was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, but it is back this year bigger than ever with gymnastics added to the schedule for the first time.
