PCYC NSW is a charity empowering young people to reach their potential through police and community partnerships.
PCYC Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai has been a part of the local community since 1968, and its current purpose-built facility since September 2017. PCYC Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai is proud to boast an amazing facility consisting of a new health gym and boxing gym, multipurpose sports courts, world-class gymnastics set up, café and a range of multipurpose rooms. We are a modern, safe and exciting club delivering our mission to get our community active in life.
We offer programs and activities for all ages including gymnastics, gym and fitness, boxing, learn to play sports programs, driver education programs, junior and senior sports competitions, court sports, Out of Hours School Care (OOSH), and loads more.

TeamGym is relatively new to Australia and is a fun and social way showcase a variety of gymnastics skills in a team environment. Teams consist of 6-12 athletes who perform 3 routines to music – floor (comprising of dance and acrobatic elements), tumbling (consisting of a series of forwards and backwards skills from rolls and cartwheels to flips), and mini tramp (jumps, turns and somersaults!). Teams are split into divisions based on skill level, catering from the very beginner to the most advanced gymnast.
TeamGym is designed for children who have mastered the fundamental skills of the GymSTAR program, are ready for their pathway development and looking for a Team Gymnastics sport – with competition across Tumbling, Mini trampoline and Floor!

Acrobatics (Acro) is a spectacular group sport where athletes perform incredible lifts, throws and balances on their partners hands, feet and shoulders. Gymnasts will perform choreographed routines combining dance, group skills and individual elements such as tumbling. Acrobatic gymnastics combines strength and flexibility with showmanship and teamwork to produce spectacular performances!
The Acrobatics class is designed for children who have mastered the fundamental skills of the GymSTAR program and are ready for their pathway development.

Does your child love to bounce and flip? Then our Trampoline class is for them!
Trampoline is for both males and females and includes amazing feats of athleticism whilst flipping and twisting through the air! Athletes start by learning safe jumping and landing techniques and progress through to more advanced skills and combinations including somersaults. Trampoline also includes Double Mini trampoline, a fast and explosive combination of trampoline skills including a run up, landing and Power Tumbling, where athletes flip their way down a track.

Parkour/Free G (Freestyle Gymnastics) programs are new and innovative programs that provide opportunities for young people to be creative in the development of new skills, whilst staying fit and active for longer. Classes include running and jumping over obstacles, as well as tricking and flipping skills. Athletes get the opportunity to run obstacle courses utilising their new skills and can be a pathway to competitive time trials in Parkour and activities similar to Ninja Warrior.

WAG is one of the most well-known forms of gymnastics – the kind you would commonly see in the Olympics on TV. It is a competitive sport for girls of all ages comprising of 4 apparatus – beam, bars, floor & vault. Athletes will work on skills, dance and tumbling for each of these apparatus as well as working on developing strength, flexibility and handstands.
WAG is a competition class and as such requires selection to a squad and a commitment for the season. Training days and times vary depending on group/level selected for, and costs depend on hours trained.

This parent-led, free-play session is designed to give your little one a gentle and confident introduction to movement! Held in our gymnastics gym, Mini Explorers focuses on learning through play, allowing babies and toddlers to explore at their own pace. Using colours, textures and a variety of gymnastics equipment, children will develop early body awareness and strengthen brain connections through balance, sensory stimulation, tactile experiences and coordination-based exploration.
Little ones will roll, crawl, climb, cruise and explore — all while having fun and socialising with parents and other children in a safe, padded environment.
Mini Explorers sessions require a PCYC membership only.
Gymnastics Australia insurance is not required.
Sessions cost $15 casual attendance — no bookings or ongoing enrolment required.
To attend, simply ensure your child has a current PCYC membership and drop in during the session time.

This parent/adult assisted class is designed to give your little one a head start in life! Junior gym is a program suitable for preschool and kindergarten aged children, bridging the gap between Kindergym and GymStar. Junior Gym offers more structure than the Kindergym program with teaching methods and activities specifically targeted to suit the developmental and cognitive needs of this age group, whilst increasing self-confidence in an independent learning opportunity.
Our Juniorgym classes are $18 and require an annual Gymnastics NSW Registration ($55). To enrol, fill out the “Enrolment & Direct Debit Form” and email it to hornsbykuringgai@pcycnsw.org.au, or bring it into the club.
GymSTAR Plus is an extension of our GymSTAR program, for those who have completed the STAR levels or have shown mastery of basic gymnastics skills. This class will increase difficulty on all apparatus whilst also building on strength, flexibility & technique in a recreational setting. Each term, participants will be assessed on the skills they have learnt and move up through Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.
Our GymSTAR Plus classes are $20 and require an annual Gymnastics NSW Registration ($70). Participants must have passed GymSTAR level R or have been recommended by a coach to be eligible for this class. Please contact the club to organise an assessment.
GymSTAR is our entry level recreational program for school age children, covering the basics of gymnastics and movement in a fun and friendly environment. Children will learn the basics of apparatus such as bars, beam, floor and trampoline to assist in developing skills such as balance, coordination and strength. Each term, participants will be assessed on the skills they have learnt and move up through the GymSTAR levels.

A form of exercise, developed by Joseph Pilates, which emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient, graceful movement. Our classes are mat based.
Cultivates health and wellbeing (physical, emotional, mental and social) through the regular practice of a range of many different techniques, including postures and movement, breath awareness and breathing exercises, relaxation and concentration, self-inquiry and meditation
Links a steady and deep focus on breath to movement and mind. The overall focus is to generate wellness in flowing poses and sequences, transitioning slowly and opening gently in a calm and mindful way. It’s a great antidote to stress. The practice is suited to those who want to slow down and can be adapted to suit specific needs.
Latin-inspired fitness program that involves aerobic dancing and other cardiovascular exercises. The word “zumba” has its roots in Colombia and it means “to move fast and have fun”, which is exactly what the fitness program is all about.
Strength and conditioning is structured training that builds physical power, endurance, and resilience. It combines resistance work, cardiovascular fitness, mobility, and recovery practices to improve performance, prevent injury, and support overall health. Programs are tailored to help athletes and individuals move better, get stronger, and sustain long-term progress.

Empower teens with confidence, discipline, and fitness through our Teens Boxing program. Perfect for ages 13–17, this class teaches foundational boxing techniques, improves coordination, builds strength, and fosters mental resilience. Led by experienced coaches, the program creates a fun, supportive environment for teens to stay active, develop self-defense skills, and build lifelong healthy habits. Whether they’re new to the sport or looking to advance, teens will thrive both in and out of the ring.
The program fosters physical fitness, wellbeing, and personal growth, while promoting prosocial behaviours through mentorship. Additionally, participants are transported to school, ensuring they start their day positively.
