Developing strength & power, the artistic gymnast’s main apparatus are bars, beam floor & vault, whilst also learning somersaults, handsprings, handstands, cartwheels and aerials. Gymnasts are encouraged to compete once they are confident with their routines and coaches feel they are ready. Cost dependant on hours training. Freestyle/urban gymnastics has developed from the growth in popularity of parkour and tricking, and involves gymnastic skills carried out in a non-traditional environment. PCYC offers urban gymnastics programs for people interested in learning to do flips and somersaults in a safe environment, with qualified and experienced instructors.

Gymnastics is a fun activity that is the foundation for all sports and physical activity. Gymnastics teaches participants how to move, roll, jump, swing and turn upside down, and is an exciting activity for general fitness, coordination, agility, strength, balance and speed. The GymStar program is our entry-level program, which not only provides participants with a variety of gymnastics activities, and is suitable for boys and girls of all ages. Children move through Gym S, Gym T, Gym A, Gym R and then into our Pre Levels class and our levels program.

Combining strength, flexibility and dance, rhythmic gymnasts use hand held apparatus - rope, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon in their routines.
