"Gymnastics is a fun activity that is the foundation for all sports and physical activity. Gymnastics teaches participants how to move, roll, jump, swing and turn upside down, and is an exciting activity for general fitness, coordination, agility, strength, balance and speed. The GymStar program is an entry level program, which not only provides participants with a variety of gymnastics activities, and is suitable for boys and girls of all ages."

Combining strength, flexibility and dance, rhythmic gymnasts use hand held apparatus - rope, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon in their routines. Beginners start with a 1 hour lesson, through to longer sessions for more experienced gymnasts, depending on competition level.
