WELCOME TO YOUR LOCAL CLUB PCYC GRIFFITH

PCYC NSW is a charity empowering young people to survive, and thrive, in partnership with the Police and the community.

PCYC Griffith is an integral community facility that has been making a difference by providing sport, recreational activities, and mission-based programs since 1961.

The club proudly offers opportunities for everyone, from 18 months to seniors, from all walks of life. We pride ourselves on delivering our mission to empower young people, and getting our community active in life.

We offer quality programs and activities to the Riverina region including Gymnastics in our gymnastics hall, our Kindy Gym learn-to-play programs, Karate, the L-plate Safer Drivers program, Traffic Offenders Program, Fit for Life, School Sports, Drop-in spaces and heaps more.

This parent/adult assisted class is designed to give your little one a head start in life! With a focus on learning through play, each lesson will use colours, sounds and other stimulation to help your child develop their body control and strengthen brain connections through balance, sensory stimulation, tactile experience and coordination exercises. Children will learn to roll, climb, jump and swing all while having fun and socializing with parents and other children.

Our Kindergym classes are $14 and require an annual Gymnastics NSW Registration ($55). To enrol, book online or fill out the “Enrolment & Direct Debit Form” and email it to griffith@pcycnsw.org.au, or bring it into the club.

Competitive Gymnastics

Squads - WAG
Age: All (skill assessment required)

PCYC Griffith offers competitive Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) for levels 1-4.

WAG is one of the most well-known forms of gymnastics – the kind you would commonly see in the Olympics on TV. It is a competitive sport for girls of all ages comprising of 4 apparatus – beam, bars, floor & vault. Athletes will work on skills, dance and tumbling for each of these apparatus as well as working on developing strength, flexibility and handstands.

WAG is a competition class and as such requires selection to a squad and a commitment for the season. Training days and times vary depending on group/level selected for, and costs depend on hours trained.

Free G / Parkour

Little Ninjas
Age: 5-8 years
Fees: $155 per term

Little Ninjas program is a new and innovative program that provide opportunities for young people to be creative in the development of new skills, whilst staying fit and active for longer. Classes include running and jumping over obstacles, as well as tricking and flipping skills. Athletes get the opportunity to run obstacle courses utilising their new skills, and can be a pathway to competitive time trials in Parkour and activities similar to Ninja Warrior.

Free G / Parkour

Martial Arts

Hapkido

Age: All
Fees: $140 per term

Hapkido is designed to be a martial art that harmonizes body energy while maintaining a state of non-aggression. Many martial arts focus on non-aggression, and can be practiced by men and women of all ranges of size and strength. This form is about calculated moves rather than brute force. Hapkido is governed by three essential principles.

Karate Seniors

Fees: $135.00 per term

Karate is a Japanese (Okinawa) system of unarmed combat using the hands and feet to deliver and block blows, widely practised as a sport. Karate may be defined as a weaponless means of self defence. It consists of dynamic offensive and defensive techniques using all parts of the body to their maximum advantage. PCYC provides experienced and qualified instructors for all of our programs, and offers grading events as a recognition system.

Fit for Life

The program fosters physical fitness, wellbeing, and personal growth, while promoting prosocial behaviours through mentorship. Additionally, participants are transported to school, ensuring they start their day positively.
