Governor supports defib push

LIFE-SAVER: Guests enjoy the balmy weather outside Old Government House, Parramatta

More than 140 people attended a very successful fundraiser last Thursday evening to help put life-saving defibrillators in every PCYC club.

The joint initiative with the Michael Hughes Foundation went towards raising $75,000 to cover phase two of the project, which involves installing the remaining 32 defibrillators into clubs which don’t have them.

PCYC NSW patron and Governor of NSW General David Hurley and Mrs Hurley were guests of honour.

Notable support on the night came from the Police Bank, which donated money to buy 10 defibrillators.
