PCYC FAIRFIELD-CABRAMATTA MARTIAL ARTS

At PCYC Fairfield-Cabramatta, we offer a diverse selection of martial arts classes for all age groups. At our club, you can choose from classes, including Muay Thai, Taekwondo, self-defence, and more.

Our Muay Thai sessions are available in two sections: one for children (aged 5 to 12 years old) and another for teenagers and adults (aged 13 and up). In our Junior class, kids will study the fundamentals of this Thai martial art and work on their fitness, strength, and coordination. Similarly, our senior Muay Thai class is open to people of all experience levels and serves as a great opportunity to stay fit and develop a passion for martial arts.

As far as other styles of martial arts, our members can also try their hand at Taekwondo, Viet Quyen Dao, and Bujinkan/Jujitsu. All experience levels are welcome in these sessions.

PCYC Fairfield-Cabramatta also hosts self-defence courses for both juniors and seniors. In these weekly classes, participants will learn how to become aware of their surroundings and defend themselves in case it becomes necessary.

Taekwondo is an Olympic sport and martial art that uses kicks and punches but no weapons. “Tae” means “foot” or “to strike with the feet”, “kwon” means “hand”, or “to strike with the hand” and “do” means discipline, art, or way. Hence taekwondo (foot-hand-way) means literally “the art of the feet and the hands” or “the art of kicking and punching”.
