Come to our defibrillator event

PCYC, in partnership with the Michael Hughes Foundation, is holding a fundraising event on Thursday, April 20 at 6pm.

This cocktail style event at Old Government House will be hosted in the presence of the Governor of NSW and patron of PCYC NSW, His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d) and Mrs Linda Hurley.

This event aims to raise the funds required to install phase two of our defibrillator project which will see the remaining 32 clubs receive a defibrillator and storage case. This event also aims to raise awareness of sudden cardiac arrest and the contribution first responders using defibrillators make to someone who suffering from heart failure.

Guests will have opportunity to walk through the ground floor of Old Government House admiring several rooms before arriving in the courtyard for the cocktail party. A selection of hot and cold canapes and beverages will be served during the three-hour event. There will be opportunities to see defibrillator and CPR demonstrations, have a quick health check and participate in fundraising activities.

I encourage you all to please promote this event through your networks as this fundraising opportunity will reduce the club co-contribution towards the defibrillator machines. It would be great to see a representation of Managers attend this event with police officers, committee members or club supporters.
