|More than 400 people attended last Friday night’s NSW Police Boxing fight night at the Westin in Sydney.
Funds raised by the night will be split between PCYC NSW and Police Legacy.
The corporate versus cops highlight of the night was an extremely serious bout between Surry Hills Local Area Commander Detective Superintendent Tony Crandell and Yellow Brick Road chairman and NSW Legacy Boxing Ambassador Mark Bouris.
Bouris, the star of the Channel Nine reality drama The Apprentice, won the night.
But the highlight for PCYC was the match-up between PCYC Newcastle YCM Senior Constable Brendan “Blocker” Haile and fellow officer David Bassot.
Blocker (pictured below post-match with fundraising GM Sam Sidwell) came up trumps amid much cheering from the PCYC table.
The Police Boxing initiative has raised more than $300,000 since its inception in 2013.
