PCYC NSW is a charity empowering young people to survive, and thrive, in partnership with the Police and the community.
PCYC Balmain is the 2nd oldest PCYC club in NSW, having been opened in 1938. It’s located in the heart of Balmain on Darling Street and is a community venue that hosts an array of activities.
We’re famous for our historical heritage foyer and staircase which will take you back in time, as well as our large multi-purpose facilities that offer a balance between old and new. We’re close to public transport, making us accessible for all of the community.
Located on the main street of Balmain (Darling Street) our site has become home to many activities like yoga, cooking, as well as a great School Holidays offering.
This parent/adult assisted class is designed to give your little one a head start in life! With a focus on learning through play, each lesson will use colours, sounds and other stimulation to help your child develop their body control and strengthen brain connections through balance, sensory stimulation, tactile experience and coordination exercises. Children will learn to roll, climb, jump and swing all while having fun and socializing with parents and other children.
Our Kindergym classes are $20 and require an annual Gymnastics NSW Registration ($55). To enrol, book online or fill out the “Enrolment & Direct Debit Form” and email it to balmain@pcycnsw.org.au, or bring it into the club.

Junior gym is a program suitable for preschool and kindergarten aged children, bridging the gap between Kindergym and GymStar. Junior Gym offers more structure than the Kindergym program with teaching methods and activities specifically targeted to suit the developmental and cognitive needs of this age group, whilst increasing self-confidence in an independent learning opportunity.

With 28 years in business. Offering separate free weights, fixed weights, cardio areas with cardio theatre, as well as 33 classes per week, Whether you want to tone, strengthen, get fit, work on flexibility or just decrease your stress levels, what you decide to do is up to you!

The program fosters physical fitness, wellbeing, and personal growth, while promoting prosocial behaviours through mentorship. Additionally, participants are transported to school, ensuring they start their day positively.
