PCYC has developed programs of martial arts tailored the communities' needs. Most clubs have at least one form of martial arts and have classes for all ages and skill levels. The following forms of martial arts are available at various clubs, please check your local club and see what they offer.

Jujitsu

Jujutsu is a Japanese martial art developed as a method of close combat for defeating an armed and armoured opponent in which one uses no weapon or only a short weapon. “Jū” can be translated to mean “gentle, soft, supple, flexible, pliable, or yielding.” “Jutsu” can be translated to mean “art” or “technique” and represents manipulating the opponent’s force against themself rather than confronting it with one’s own force. PCYC provides experienced instructors who are suitably qualified to teach interested people of all ages.


Aikido

Aikido is a Japanese form of self-defence and martial art that uses locks, holds, throws, and the opponent’s own movements. Minimum height to attend 150cm.
