What Is Counselling?
A counsellor can help with the following:
• Anxiety & depression
• Drug/alcohol concerns
• Relationship issues
• Career concerns
• Life goals
• Self esteem
A counsellor is trained to support you to make positive changes in your life. The goal is to promote healthy relationships with one’s self and others and to achieve overall mental wellbeing. This is done through face-to-face conversation, which happens in a relaxed and down to earth manner, allowing you to feel safe, understood and heard.
The sessions are an opportunity for you to share your worries or concerns in a respectful, non-judgemental and confidential space. All sessions take place in the Counselling room on site at PCYC Northern Beaches. You will be invited to explore what’s on your mind openly and honestly.
