Our Group Fitness Classes

PCYC Northern Beaches offer a range of affordable group fitness classes such as Boxing, Yoga, Martial Arts and Meditation suitable for all levels. Provided by qualified trainers, we will assist you with your health and fitness goals. Classes always run during school term – check with the club during school holidays.

Pre-School Classes – $8 per session

School Aged Classes – $8.50

Adults Classes – $12 per session

PCYC membership required for all participants.

Boxing

PCYC Boxing is dedicated to the development of athletes through the sport of boxing, offering development in physical fitness, self-discipline and confidence. A weekly fitness based boxing class with rounds of different boxing combinations and high adrenaline fun. Develop core strength with boxing techniques and drills. An allover cardio and strength training workout, it helps improve endurance, coordination and stamina. Monday and Wednesday session run throughout the year. Participants must wear own boxing inners. We cater to 7-10 years, 11-15 years, and 15 years +, and all skill levels. Multi-passes are available. Ask at reception.

Martial Arts

Karate: here at the PCYC Northern Beaches, our instructors teach traditional Japanese martial arts with internationally recognised Yamaguchi Goju Kai Karate. Whether for fitness, self-defence or competition, get fit, give yourself the gift of a calmer mind and learn how to defend yourself.

Meditation

Meditation is a practice of concentrated focus upon a sound, object, visualization, the breath, movement, or attention itself in order to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth.

Calm the mind with a relaxing FREE meditation session where you wind down with gentle breathing.

Thursday 7:30-8:30pm. Available to 15 years+ members. 

 

Senior Fitness

A 45 minute exercise class for older adults to keep moving and have fun.

Classes include: low impact aerobics for cardiovascular fitness, upper and lower body strength and conditioning using bodyweight and light weights, balance exercises for falls prevention, fun games get you moving, finishing with a cool down and stretching.

Thursdays 9.30am-10.15am

$8 per session/Multi-visit passes available – ask at Reception.

Membership $25 per annum.
