Gymnastics is a sport involving the performance of sequences of movements requiring physical strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, and kinaesthetic awareness, such as handsprings, handstands, split leaps, aerials and cartwheels.

Competitive gymnastics

PCYC offers programs for girls and boys to train for competitions within the state and national sporting structure, giving pathways for talented gymnasts to achieve at the highest level possible with the sport. PCYC has highly skilled and experienced coaches to train the gymnasts, and achieve the best results possible at competition.

Recreational gymnastics

Gymnastics is a fun activity that is the foundation for all sports and physical activity.
Gymnastics teaches participants how to move, roll, jump, swing and turn upside down, and is an exciting activity for general fitness, coordination, agility, strength, balance and speed. Gymnastics provides a sound foundation in movement for boys and girls of all ages. This allows everyone to develop their whole body, which is useful in all other sports and activities. PCYC offers a wide range of recreational gymnastics programs for all ages and abilities, and provides highly qualified instructors, running programs approved by Gymnastics Australia.


KinderGym is an Early childhood development program, which focusses on the development of fine and gross motor skills, whilst allowing the children to interact socially. The program is designed for children aged 18 months to 5 years, and is accredited through Gymnastics Australia. PCYC offers fun and interesting Kindergym programs, with the instruction form fully qualified and accredited Kindergym Instructors.

Trampolining & tumbling

PCYC offers trampoline classes which teaches people difficult tricks on the trampoline. This program has a competitive pathway which can lead right through to the Olympics. The programs also offer tumbling classes where you learn to do a series of acrobatics skills on a straight line. PCYC offers these programs with highly skilled instructors and operate under the regulations set by the peak bodies.

Freestyle/urban gymnastics

Freestyle/urban gymnastics has developed from the growth in popularity of parkour and tricking, and involves gymnastic skills carried out in a non-traditional environment. PCYC offers urban gymnastics programs for people interested in learning to do flips and somersaults in a safe environment, with qualfied and experienced instructors.
