PCYC ARMIDALE MARTIAL ARTS

Are you interested in studying martial arts? At PCYC Armidale, we offer aikido and Japanese sword martial arts classes to engage your mind, body, and spirit. 

In our aikido classes, you will learn the fundamentals of this modern Japanese martial art. Trained PCYC staff will teach you proper aikido form, as well as how to outsmart your opponent without hurting them. Aikido classes at PCYC Armidale are available to people of all skill levels, and there’s no prior experience necessary.

We also provide Japanese sword classes for those looking to learn how to perform this exciting form of martial arts. Under the guidance of knowledgeable PCYC trainers, you will learn how to safely practise Japanese sword and compete against other students.

At PCYC Armidale, our aikido and Japanese sword classes are open to all age groups. We also offer a separate aikido course for students aged 13 and older. Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) is a martial arts of European origin. It focuses on the period ca. 1300 to 1800, and includes German, Italian, Spanish, French, English, and Scottish styles. It uses surviving historical sources to guide classes, recreating historical European fighting systems in a safe, structured environment.
Beginning classes focus on Italian longsword, with the opportunity for more advanced students to explore other styles.
